New Reef Restaurant Opens at Port of Airlie

The much-anticipated new seafood restaurant Anchor & Oar opened its doors this week at Port of Airlie. Helmed by chef Marco Delgado (ex-Quay), the menu celebrates Queensland seafood in a casual, coastal setting. Standouts include the Moreton Bay bug tagliatelle, coral trout with burnt butter, and a dessert of Davidson plum pavlova. The wine list leans heavily on organic Australian labels, with 40 wines available by the glass. Anchor & Oar is open Tuesday to Sunday for lunch and dinner. Bookings essential.
