About
Nautical-themed bar on the Pioneer Bay foreshore. Best frozen margaritas in town and a short menu of seafood share plates.

Data from Google MapsThe restaurant is not located on the main street,it’s situated halfway up the hill. It is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and opens from 12:00pm ( Wed-Sun). The two of us ordered a seafood platter. Overall, it was fairly average. The mussels meat were a bit small, possibly because they were not in season. The view was lovely, the restaurant is located on the ground floor of an accommodation building, right next to the hotel’s swimming pool.
IF YOU ONLY GO TO ONE PLACE IN AIRLIE …. GO HERE! I love my food, and am pretty fussy. The meals here are impeccably prepared and FLAVOURSOME. I had the tomahawk pork with soda bread and burrata. Incredible! Best meal I’ve had in a long while. Oh and Jay does amazing cocktails. Just go HERE!!!
Amazing service, delicious food and an awesome view - Happy as…! We had a very fussy eater and they accommodated with a special meal made up by the chef and waiter Sorry about the photo of the empty plates but couldn’t stop eating. Mmmmmm yum yum !!!!!
This is a hidden gem! If you want a fancy pretentious meal, this is not the place. More of a casual bar, has a great outlook and the service is spot on. We had some very ordinary meals at other places, so expectations were low. We sreached for a seafood lunch, and the charming waitress suggested the deluxe seafood platter. It started with a cold selection of 1/2 a generous size lobster, fresh prawns, oysters, cerviche, sauces and bread. All were excellent. After fighting through this came the hot platter of fresh barramundi (not battered or crumbed which was great), scallops, prawns all layered on a beautiful serving of mussels in a coconut and lemon grass sauce. Was definately best meal and value in Airley Beach. I just hope that not too many find out and we cant get in on our next visit to Airley Beach!!
