My friends and I went on the sunset cruise on Wednesday (04/03 and 05/03) and Thursday night. We had so much fun on the first night that we booked it again the next day so our other friends could join. Great value for the cost - two hours on the boat, steady boating around the Airlie Beach coast, sea turtle sightseeing, and the complimentary prosecco and cash bar was great!! We would love to do this tour again every night when we come back! Special thanks to Leah for making it a great experience.
When you’re in the Whitsundays, a sunset cruise feels like a must do to really savour the time and experience. The sundowner boat was great, and loved the setup. The crew was friendly and well organised. We had a large group and kicked off day 1 of 2026 onboard and had a great time, the kids got to have some soft drink and the parents a glass of bubbles. The view and ability to take uninterrupted photos of the ocean was great. The single grazing platter was pretty basic - some carrot, celery sticks and crackers, dip, kabana, olives and sun-dried tomatoes to share amongst 40-50 ppl, so don’t expect alot. Make sure you have dinner plans ready once you return to shore. Not sure if it was because it was New Year’s Day but most places closed at 8pm so between returning from the cruise home, we had limited time to find a place to eat dinner. We had a great time and would recommend for any families in Airlie beach.
I had the most incredible evening on the Sundowner with my friends! This is such a great way to spend an evening in Airlie Beach with the most incredible sunset views. We loved the welcome drink, snack platter and music. Shoutout to the incredible staff who made us feel as at home. I would highly recommend it.
We had an amazing night on the Sundowner Sunset Cruise. There were 4 in our group which included my grandson and his girlfriend. They loved it! The skipper was fabulous, even letting the kids have some photos standing and holding the steering wheel, which was a big highlight for them, they also enjoyed recreating the Titanic pose 😀. We saw turtles and fish, and the sunset was absolutely divine. The crew were very, helpful, friendly and attentive. Lovely Champagne and fruit punch was served on arrival and some yummy snacks as well. I would definitely recommend Sundowner for all age groups you will LOVE IT! 💖
