Had a great experience here. They offer good veg options, which I really appreciated. I also tried the mocha along with a pistachio croissant, and both were genuinely tasty. The croissant was flaky and fresh, and the mocha had a nice balance of flavor. Salad with cheese was top notch too. They were able to add cheese on special request! Would definitely recommend stopping by and trying these out for yourself. Will be back again soon to try more items from the menu.

It’s sad how easily the great location potential of a place like this can be wasted. They have a fantastic spot for running a cafe - right by the lagoon, and the outdoor terrace sits in the shade of beautiful, huge fig trees. The main problem starts right at the beginning, when you have to talk to the lady who tells you where you can sit. If someone doesn’t like interacting with customers, or simply doesn’t enjoy this kind of job, maybe it would be better to find another, more suitable job where they are willing to show at least basic politeness to people. ...it may also be a matter of very young age influencing the behavior - I’m not sure. But not only as a customer, but also as someone who once worked as a waiter when I was young, I know that the interaction here felt completely opposite to how it should normally be between staff and customers. The coffee wasn’t bad, but compared to many other coffees we tried in Australia it was rather average The outdoor tables were very sticky. When paying (to the same lady who had shown us where to sit) the experience was again not very pleasant, which left both us and two other customers who were paying for takeaway coffee equally confused. It would be nice if the owner took a closer look at the issues that clearly aren’t working well here, because it’s a shame to waste such potential. On the other hand, maybe during the busy season the location alone brings in so many customers that these issues simply don’t matter to them.

Table was very sticky and there were pieces of food on the floor. Smashed avocado was nice, but the cherry tomatoes tasted a bit off and the balsamic dressing was not really necessary. Scrambled eggs were nice, a bit on the overdone side, but still tasty. Chicken and waffle was nice and the kids' menus were also just 'nice'. I would like to have some healthy options or sides for kids' meals every once in a while. Coffee was average, service friendly. The two girls were trying their best, but seemed a bit stretched too thin and the place looked a mess. On Sundays the restaurant next door has an (elderly) lady saxophone player. Maybe not everybody's cup of tea.

Very nice place for breakfast, so peaceful in the morning and with a great view of the lagoon. Corn fritter was just amazing. Good service. 100% recommended.
